LANDCOVER CHANGE ANALYSIS USING REMOTE SENSING AND GIS: INITIAL PHASE OF MEASURING CARBON SEQUESTRATION FOR REDD+ IN MERU BETIRI NATIONAL PARK, INDONESIA :
Summary Monitoring and estimating carbon dioxide emissions from deforestation and forest degradation at the national scale become a key element that has to be considered in Reducing Emission from Deforestation and Forest Degradation (REDD) activities. The measuring, reporting and verifying (MRV) system of REDD is based on the general requirements set by the United Nation Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and the specific methodologies for the land use and forest sectors provided by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) (GOFC-GOLD, 2009).

The Second Years Activities of ITTO PD 519/08 Rev.1(F)
Personal Replacement Since January 1st 2011 Project Coordinator of ITTO Program PD 519/08 Rev.1 (F) has been replaced from Dr. Kirsfianti L. Ginoga to Ir. Ari Wibowo, M.Sc, a senior researcher at The Center for Climate Change and Policy Research and Development. Dr. Kirsfianti L. Ginoga has been promoted as the director of Center for Climate Change and Policy Research and Development, Forestry Research and Development Agency (FORDA), Ministry of Forestry. While since January 7th 2011, the Head of Meru Betiri National Park (MBNP) has been replaced from Ir. Herry Subagiadi, M.Sc to the new head, Drs. Petrus Bambang Darmadja, MS. Previously Ir. Petrus Bambang Darmadja was the head of Bali Barat National Park.
